Don’t buy Christmas gifts for your kids, ‘donate’ to my reelection instead

Meet the real “Christmas Scrooge”, his name is Scott Walker and he is the Republican Governor for the State of Wisconsin. His “campaign team” sent out an email to its campaign supporters asking them to “give your children the gift of Wisconsin” a donation to his reelection campaign instead of “electronics or toys” to your kids.

“Instead of Electronics or toys that will undoubtedly be outdated, broken or lost by the next Holiday Season, help give your children the gift of a Wisconsin that we can all be proud of. Governor Walker is helping Wisconsin move forward where your children and grandchildren can experience; economic security, improved schools, and freedom from government dependence.”

The email goes on to say that his children and your children should experience the childhood that Walker had when he “grew up”.

“The Governor wants his sons to grow up in a Wisconsin as great as the one he grew up in. When asked why he never stopped fighting for Wisconsin during the Recall, Governor Walker said he has two reasons, his sons Matt and Alex.”

The Governors email ends by saying that your kids will be better off if you don’t spend your money on gifts, and that your donation of $25.00 will be helpful in “securing a strong State for the future of Wisconsin’s children.”

“A strong Wisconsin is the best gift you can give.”

Governor Scott Walker is a true “Mr. Scrooge”, he is attacking the spirit of Christmas, at least the gift giving part, by asking you to give your children the proverbial “lump of coal” for Christmas.
