The Stellar Awards show has come a long way from the Arie Crown Theatre here in Chicago. Over the past 29 years, the Stellar Awards show has drawn hundreds of Gospel music enthusiasts to various states within the midwest and east coast. Not only is the show moving west, but it's moving from January to March of 2015. Don Jackson has set out to make this coming year's show to be one to remember.

Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada will be the venue for the festivities of the Stellar Awards weekend. You'll be glad to know that all the sanctioned events for the Stellar Awards will happen in one location. The Pre-show, The Gospel Radio Awards & Showcase and the actual live taping will take place there. Now that everything has been confirmed regarding location, you are able to make your necessary plans to attend. More information will be forthcoming in the next few weeks regarding the show's host, performers and special awards.

Next years Stellar Awards show will celebrate a milestone of 30 years of celebrating the accomplishments of those in the Gospel music industry. With so many "first" for this coming year, Don Jackson wanted to accommodate everyone comfortably in a state-of-the-art venue. What better way to mark the 30 year anniversary of the "longest running Black awards show in television"? Some may say that the Stellar Awards going to "Sin City" will be a temptation. Well, Mr. Jackson put it simply that his intent is to take the Gospel there. Many of the local and surrounding area churches there are very excited. As a reason to make this trip even better, the Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) has joined in and will kick off their twenty-eighth annual convention March 22, 2015 there as well. This is reminiscent of the week long revival/camp meetings of times past only it's centered around Gospel music. This is great news indeed. Visit the Stellar Awards' website for detail information on special ticket packages that will go on sale this Monday, August 4.
