Defending champion Don Blatchford will be the headline performer as the West Coast Senior Tour closes out its season with a bowling tournament Saturday and Sunday at Riverside Casino Lanes in Laughlin, Nev.
The Laughlin tournament is the WCST's 15th event of the season.
Forty-seven bowlers took part in last year's Laughlin tournament. Blatchford, a Santa Monica resident, rolled a perfect game in the finals en route to winning the Super Senior championship and claiming the $1,500 top prize.
Blatchford, the WCST's Super Senior bowler of the year for 2012, has won two tournaments this year.
Kevin Gannon of Lakewood and Darron Peters of Lake Elsinore have each won three WCST events in 2013.
Blatchford will face stiff competition at Laughlin, including Johnnie Englehart of Winnetka, one of the premier league bowlers in the San Fernando Valley area.
Englehart barely missed winning a WCST event in August in Anaheim when he was edged by Jerry Calvin of Thousand Oaks. Englehart smoked a 266 in one of his four games in the finals in that tournament and finished second.
