A man suspected of domestic violence was shot in a theater. According to a report, dated Jan. 12, by the SFGate, the man was critically wounded at the Reading Cinemas in San Diego.
The suspect shot in the theater had been chasing his girlfriend with a gun. He ran into the theater to avoid police officers. The domestic violence suspect shot in the theater was taken to a local hospital by the San Diego Fire-Rescue. It was reported he had life-threatening injuries.
“I hope women learn from this,” Teresa Slater, from Oklahoma City, said. “Too many women stay with abusive men. They think they will change. It is possible, but most men don't. I've known a lot of women who said 'he only hit me once' and then the violence escalates to the point they are seriously hurt.”
Eyewitnesses reported about 20 police cars blocking the entrance to the theaters. The police officers were carrying what looked like rifles. After the police entered the theater, the paramedics then entered the building.
Moviegoers got on the floor and started making their way to the exits when the light in the theater came on and they saw police officers, with guns raised, enter the theater. None of the people watching the movie were hurt.
