Dolphin HS looks forward to playoffs

The dolphins of Balboa Pier High School (mascot Toros) are training hard to take on their rivals, the Dana Point Harbor dolphins (mascot Beavers).

The Toros are coached by merman Dave Stewart.

"I'm excited that we've made it so far this season, considering we are so terrible at tackling. There's been a great team effort, and there's been more focus than I thought was possible by these guys. There was talk of just playing one fin touch, but my guys have way more heart than that. They'll never give up," said Dave at the press conference.

Beavers coach, merman Kenneth Ruxin, commented, "I've been concerend that all the training has impacted the students' academic work, but they're proven me quite wrong. My dolphins are tearing it up in their net/tuna avoidance classes, and many have even taken on roles in tutoring elementary school dolphins in speed swimming."

The game is set for Friday at 3pm down at Dana Point. If you've never seen dolphins playing football, I suggest you make it a point to be there. Much more exciting than donkey basketball!
