Dolores Hart is TCM's Guest Programmer for the month of May

May is on the verge of ending, but fear not TCM fans they didn't forget about airing a guest programmer. This month's TCM guest programmer is Dolores Hart. Hart was a former actress now Roman Catholic Nun. She made ten films in six years and one her films will be one of her picks and will be airing first.

Anyway this will be airing on May 27, starting at 8 p.m. EST. So let's look at which four movies Hart picked:

1. "Lisa" (1962)

Airing Time: 8 p.m.

In "Lisa," Hart played a survivor of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp, who tries to make it to Israel with the help of a Dutch policeman. Phillip Dunne directed "Lisa."

2. "Laura" (1944)

Airing Time: 10 p.m.

"Laura" is the quintessential film noir that was directed by Otto Preminger. The film is about a detective who falls in love with the murder victim. Dana Andrews and Gene Tierney starred together in this noir.

3. "The Song of Bernadette" (1943)

Airing Time: 11:45 p.m.

Henry King directed this drama about a French peasant girl, who sees and is healed by the Virgin Mary. News get around and people flock to the small town, but not everyone is believing her story and treats the girl with prejudice. Jennifer Jones, Charles Bickford, and Vincent starred in this religious drama.

4. "The Rose Tattoo" (1955)

Airing Time: 2:30 a.m.

Anna Magnani starred in this movie as a grieving widow, who finds out that her late husband cheated on her, so she embarks on a new romance. Daniel Mann directed the movie and Burt Lancaster and Ben Cooper starred with Magnani.

Once again this starts next Tuesday, May 27 on TCM at 8 p.m. EST. If you haven't seen any of them take a chance next Tuesday. That also goes with saying, if you've seen them before why not watch them again?
