Parton’s publicist, Kirt Webster, stated today that Parton is at home and resting, after a vehicular accident she was involved in just before noon CDT in Nashville this morning. According to police, Parton was in an SUV when it was hit by another vehicle. Parton, who is 67, was taken – along with two others – to a local hospital for treatment. A news release confirms there were no serious injuries.
Parton is a Country Music Hall of Fame member, and has written over 3,000 songs, including the Whitney Houston smash, “I Will Always Love You.” Additionally, Parton is an actress, author, record producer and businesswoman. One of her most notable business ventures is Dollywood, an amusement park located in Tennessee’s Smoky Mountains.
