Dolly Parton, who greatly influenced Whitney Houston in her songs, paid tribute to the deceased singer: "Mine is only one of the millions of hearts broken over the death of Whitney Houston," Dolly said in a statement. "I will always be grateful and in awe of the wonderful performance she did on my song and I can truly say from the bottom of my heart, 'Whitney, I will always love you. You will be missed.'"
What is sad is that Dolly did not influence Whitney in Dolly's positive body image and self-confidence. Whitney's insecurity resulted in her drug addiction and downfall.
In contrast, Dolly was recently named one of the hottest women of all time by Men's Health magazine. Her solution for "sagging, dragging and bagging": "I’ll have it nipped, tucked and sucked, that’s one of my famous lines but I mean it. I’m a showperson. If you’re gonna put yourself out there, you want to look as good as you can. If you’ve got the money and the desire and the nerve and there are good doctors, why not," she asked in an interview published January 5 in the Toronto Star.
