Dollar General Wow Deals August 17 - 30, 2010

Shoppers heading out to Dollar General grocery stores this weekend should scan this coupon matchup for the Wow Deals, since they can score great prices on cookies, laundry detergent, and more.  The best of the Wow Deals are discussed in detail below.

What shoppers need to know about Dollar General

If you've never shopped at Dollar General, you should know the chain accepts both manufacturer coupons and their own store-only coupons, which means you can stack coupons for the same item to get even bigger savings. Dollar General also accepts printable coupons, as long as they require a purchase -- in other words, a Buy One Get One Free coupon will be accepted, but a Try Me Free coupon may not be.

You can view the complete Dollar General coupon policy on their website.

Dollar General is also actively expanding its Facebook presence, and is currently releasing Dollar General coupons to its Facebook fans each Friday.   Click here to like Dollar General on Facebook.

I'll be stopping by there on my way home from work. Lost my shades at the beach last week!

I really like shopping in Dollar General stores -- I always find bargains. Sadly, we don't have them down here in Miami, so I have to stock up when I'm out of town.

Great to know they accept both manufacturer's coupons and their store coupons. I have seen a few in New Jersey and may check them out next time I'm in the area, now that I know there are good deals there.
