Men of Atlanta, Dolce & Gabbana rolled out their very theatrical Menswear Autumn/Winter 2012 collection for Milan Fashion Week on January 16, 2012 in Milan, Italy.
For this fall and winter, Dolce & Gabbana Menswear collection is all about upscale materials such as raw silk, brocade, heavy embroidery, velvet and watch for it – Italian Renaissance style – like something right out of a Shakespearean tale about Venice!
Dolce & Gabbana’s collection boasts a subdued yet dramatic color palette of bronze, basic black with antique gold embroidery, burgundy and tans – all extremely masculine and wearable for the man with a theatrical side.
Then there is the bronze silk pajama suit topped with a brocade jacket that speaks both casual in the way of loungewear that is dressed up to go out!
In the same vein, Dolce & Gabbana offers a burgundy pajama suit paired with a tan corduroy jacket with a burgundy velvet lapel. But one cannot be absolutely sure whether these lounging suits are meant to be taken out of the domicile, as seen on women for this spring, and sported amongst the public… Or are they merely pajamas and smoking jackets?
Oh, almost forgot – a most intriguing part of the collection is their striped tights/pants with the button fly. It has loops for a belt so I believe it is meant to be worn as trousers otherwise you can’t be sure if they’re longjohns. Either way, they are quite sexy, fellas… Extra point if you can pull those off and by that I mean that you can wear them with panache, hehe…
Like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana also features the chunky doctor’s bag as a utilitarian accessory on-the-go.
