Dogs & Wine: What to do Sunday

Taste of Arlington

Don't have plans for this upcoming Sunday? Wish there was something really fun to do outside that includes eating, adult beverages and puppies? Who wouldn't want all of those things? It just so happens that this Sunday (May 18th) will not only be gorgeous, but it also is the Taste of Arlington.

The Taste of Arlington stretches from Wilson Boulevard from Glebe Road to N. Quincy Street along N. Stuart Street to 9th Street. Along this route in Ballston there will be close to 50 restaurants from the Arlington community to sample. As well as some friendly cook off competitions. Gates open at 12pm and close at 5pm.

Now, something to wash all that tasty food down would be nice. Don't worry, there is a beer garden with a variety of brews and WINE! Something for everyone. Really, everyone…pups allowed! There is a Bark Park where you can sign up for the World Pup Tournament. Costumes encouraged. Oh and don't worry, if you get parched there is a Corona tent.

Admission is free, food and drink tickets can be purchased at the event. Live music and a kids zone - what could be better!? Portions of the proceeds go to the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AfAC), a community - based non-profit that provided supplemental groceries to Arlingtonians in need. It is a wonderful event for the whole family (pups too!). Word on the street - Sunday is going to be gorgeous!

So, no whining about not having plans Sunday. Head to the Taste of Arlington and munch on some great food and sip your fair share of some tasty wine.
