Dogs who are escape artists

Many dog owners struggle to keep their dogs safe in the backyard. For one Baltimore dog owner in particular, preventing the dog from digging out from under the fence was a huge issue. Here are some tips that worked for this family and most likely can work for your dog as well.

Digging is often a problem for many dogs, and one trick that works well for many dogs is to fill the hole with the dog's own excrement and then fill the hole back in. While the dog may start to dig up the same place again, generally the scent of the poo will stop them from going very far and they will soon abandon the hole altogether.

For more serious diggers, filling holes with concrete or brick can stop a dog in its tracks and keep it safe in the yard. For more tips, visit How to Keep a Dog from digging Under the Fence
