Pet owners in the eastern states of Australia having fought for survival during and in the aftermath of the bushfires that had ravaged the area in February are receiving a helping hand to take care of their dogs. A fundraiser conducted as an international virtual dog show by Australian’s Victoria Canine Association DOGS Victoria, having started in February, brought in a total $326,000. The money is supporting pet owners with the care of their dogs while the pet owners are rebuilding their homes or trying to find a new place to live.
DOGS Victoria has published a catalog of the dog show at its Web site. It contains the entries with the dogs’ names and their owners’ names. The catalog is accessible at:
