You know the “Dog Days of Summer” are winding down when the pooches take over the local pools.
Willow Creek residents in Centennial will let their furry friends take a dip in the pool or a dive off of the diving board as the 8th annual Dog Swim is held on Sunday from 4pm-5pm. This one is at the Willow Way pool and residents are asked to make a $5 donation at the gate. The money will be donated to a local animal shelter.
Two events will be held on September 7th. The Annual Puppy Paddle at the Holly Swimming Pool in Centennial is set from 10am until noon. Only dogs will be allowed in the pool and there is an $8 fee at the gate.
Lone Tree’s 7th annual Wag n’ Romp will also be held on the 7th at the Cook Creek Pool from 10am-2pm. Dogs can swim for free and there will be competitions held for Best Swimmer, Loudest and Best Wardrobe. Owners can check out the latest pet products from local vendors and pet adoptions will be available from the Colorado Canine Rescue.
Fly’n Paws Dog Agility will be onsite with demonstrations throughout the day.
