Dogs stolen from animal shelter, reward offered

Mt. Vernon, NY - Last week, 7 dogs disappeared from a city shelter in Mt. Vernon. Two of the dogs disappeared on Tuesday and another 5 went missing on Wednesday.

Authorities fear that the dogs were not taken for altruistic reasons. The disturbing theory is that the dogs were taken so that they could somehow be utilized for dog-fighting.

The volunteers that work at the shelter are extremely concerned about the welfare of the missing dogs. In fact, they have put together a $1000 reward for information leading to the safe return of those missing.

Members of the rescue group, Rescue Ink, have offered an additional $1000 reward for information on this case.

Anyone having information on the possible wherabouts of the missing dogs is asked to contact the Friends of the Mt Vernon Shelter at 914-841-1001 or email friendsofmvshelter@gmail.com.

The dogs are shown on the video at the beginning of this article and they are all pit bulls. I pray they find them soon before they are used for fighting.

I hope they find all of the dogs before they are hurt or worse. If they find the people who stole them they should let the dogs attack them! See how they like it! It's horrible that people can do that sort of thing to an innocent animal that only wants to be loved.

So the shelter has animal abusers working there . That don't sound good. The shelter should be ? ing and looking 2 see who stoled the dogs. And fired them.
I hope they find the 7 dogs unharmed . I hope they find out who is responsible 4 this.
Why don't animal abuser get it ,They know it hurts 2 be hurt. And know their is a lot of sad stories out there . Why do they have 2 put a another sad story out there . It is SICK OF THEM, It really needs 2 stop. I know I can't stop it . But it's horrible
