Bark For Life | Saturday, October 17, 2009 | Chapparosa Park

Bring your beloved dog today and join the American Cancer Society as they begin a new Relay For Life tradition to South Orange County –– Bark for Life.

Bark For Life
Mini-Relay is a fundraising event that honors the care giving qualities of our canine best friends. Today, from 8:30 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. at Chapparosa Park (Laguna Niguel, on the baseball field) humans and their four-legged friends can gather together to celebrate cancer survivorship, to honor people lost to cancer, to fundraise in support of cancer research, education, awareness, patient services, advocacy, and to help eliminate the suffering that cancer causes worldwide.

Fundraising activities for you and your pup-partner include relay walks, “Doggie and Me Yoga” with Nancy Pirozzi, and a Halloween costume contest. There will also be many other games, prizes, drinks and a raffle.

There is a $15 tax-deductible registration fee for the first dog, and $5 for each additional dog (free gift and raffle ticket with each dog’s full-price registration). Proceeds go to fighting cancer in both animals and people.

Help take a bite out of cancer.
