The best thing you can do for yourself and your dog is to exercise together. Luckily, wherever you live in New Orleans, you’re never far away from a great setting to do just that.
In choosing the best spots in the city, I took into account both human and canine conveniences:
a) Availability of parking, shade, drinking water, and restrooms
b) Ease and convenience of poop clean-up
c) Exercise factor (safety and spaces for running, swimming, fetch, etc.)
d) Beauty and diversity of setting
Note: Leash laws apply to all spots on the list.
And the best places in the city to exercise with your dog are...
#1: Audubon Park
#2: City Park
#3: Lakeshore Drive
#4: Anywhere on the levee
