The entry fee is $5 (which will benefit GCCSR) and there will be separate categories for small dogs (dogs under 25 pounds), medium dogs (dogs between 25-45 pounds), and large dogs (dogs over 45 pounds). Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category. Prizes include: Greenies dog treats, Puppy Bumpers, dog tags from Pet i.d for Me and Dog Tag Art, stuffed squeaky toys, a retractable leash and water bottle, dog food samples, and a squeaky ball.

The book Dogs and the Women Who Love Them is a collection of stories written by women about their extraordinary dogs. The stories are heartwarming, inspiration and entertaining (e.g. stories about dogs who were rescued from dog fighting, dogs who have healed their humans, therapy dogs, K9 police dogs).

Dogs and the Women Who Love Them has been endorsed by Oprah's Magazine, O, Vanessa Williams, Betty White, and Wendie Malick.

Euri, the Houston Dogs Examiner's adopted English cocker spaniel, will be doing a paw signing for Dogs and the Women Who Love Them. Free carrot/peanut butter mini cupcakes (made with oat flour) will be given to those who purchase the book and get it pawtographed by Euri. *Note: The cupcakes are for the dogs but they are human edible so you can share.

Natural Pawz Heights is located at 514 W. 19th Street (next to Penzey's Spices in the Collina's Italian Restaurant shopping center) in the Houston Heights.
