With the recent snow, you may not be thinking spring yet, but the equinox happens less than three weeks from now--and Daylight Savings Time returns next Sunday. In a leap of faith that warmer days are coming, Anderson Animal Shelter is planning its first outdoor event for the spring in conjunction with the Batavia Park District.
The two organizations will run an Easter egg hunt for kids, dogs and dog-handlers at the Bark Park (40W101 W. Main St., Batavia) on Saturday, March 23. The event starts at noon.A portion of the $10 per dog entrance fee will benefit Anderson Animal Shelter. Pre-registration is requested but not required. On-site registration opens at 11:30 a.m.
Come join the fun! Children and dogs are invited to hunt for Easter eggs filled with treats in the Bark Park. All dogs must be leashed, and only 2 handlers will be allowed per dog during the hunt.
Pet families are invited to come early to win prizes, browse displays from a collection of pet-product vendors, pick up free samples of pet products, and maybe get a photo with the Easter Bunny. For more information or to register for the Doggie Egg Hunt, call 630-879-5235 or visit wwwBataviaParks.org.
