An adult pit bull was starved to death and dumped between two dumpsters in Syracuse, N.Y., and now, there is a reward offered for information on this case of cruelty, reported Tuesday's WSYR TV.
The dog, dubbed "Jax," by Cuse Pit Crew, weighed a meager 13 pounds when his body was discovered. The dog's body, discovered on Oct. 22, was devoid of any fat - all that remained were prominent bones and pressure sores.
Stefanie Higgins, Co-Founder of Cuse Pit Crew, stated:
A very, very neglected dog. This dog hasn't eaten in weeks, possibly a month. It’s probably one of the worst cases I’ve ever seen in terms of how skinny and emaciated the dog was,”
It seems apparent that nobody cared for Jax while he was alive - his suffering likely did not impact the person(s) who should have been responsible for his care.
Today, those made aware of this cruel case, want justice for the abused dog who was allowed to suffer until his demise.
Cuse Pit Crew has offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Jax's death.
