A dog saved a missing girl in Poland over the weekend. The girl went missing on Friday (March 1), but a dog may have saved the three-year-old by keeping her warm in sub-freezing temperatures. According to a report from late Saturday (March 2), more than 200 people were searching for the girl overnight and it was thought that she was wandering for hours in a forest near her home.
A firefighter participating in the search stated that, "For the whole night the animal was with the girl, it never left her. Remember, it was 5 degrees below zero and the child was wet." He would later state that the most important factor in the girl surviving out there was this small black dog. There is no question that this dog saved the girl and that the family should be eternally grateful to their four-legged friend. What could have turned out to be a very tragic story instead turned to one of happiness and a dog becoming a hero for simply sticking with this girl when she needed it most.
