According to henderson.14news.com, animal control officers are trying to locate the person who viciously harmed the Bryan’s family dog on Powell Street in Henderson County, Kentucky.

The Bryan’s dog is a four year old Labrador retriever mix named Buddy. They said a few years ago Buddy lost a leg, but he has recovered fully from that incident. The family states that they noticed that Buddy was not eating so they took him to their veterinarian. This is when their vet gave them the alarming news; apparently someone had cut Buddy’s tongue out of his mouth.

The Bryan’s family admits they leave Buddy in the backyard all day while they are at work, so someone must have cut his tongue out of his mouth in their own backyard. At this time, Buddy is back at home and the Bryan’s now have to feed him special food through a syringe.

The Bryan’s family reported this incident to local law enforcement and animal control, but so far they don’t really have anything to go on. This is why they have decided to ask the public for help. An anonymous donor has offered a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. So if you have any information that might help, please contact the Henderson County Animal Control at (270) 826-8966 or the Bryan family at (270) 724-0477.
