Dog returned to high kill shelter because he scratched wife's car

Archie is a kind, neutered chocolate and white pit bull who has been crying for his family since Friday when he was surrendered. Yes, we were told his owner cried when he handed the leash over to the attendant at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter, but how about Archie?

And why was he dumped? The owner's wife said Archie was too big, and the dog had scratched her car.

This was the same family who adopted Archie last October 2013. Watch his video from last year by clicking here. Tragically, this young dog now faces a dubious fate at a city shelter well known for euthanizing any bully breed no matter their age, health, or disposition.

Check out Archie's PetHarbor listing by clicking here. Just look at his sad little face. A volunteer confirmed Archie just sits in his kennel and cries out of loneliness and despair.

The San Bernardino City Animal Shelter is located at 333 Chandler Place in San Bernardino, Calif. Please call (909)-385-1304 and refer to ID#A454908 when inquiring about Archie.
