A dog is lucky to be alive after his owner threatened to shoot him in a Craigslist ad.
On Saturday, veterinary student Liz Pendleton came across a very disturbing ad titled "Dog needs gone or shot."
The description allegedly stated that they have no use for a dog and if it wasn't gone by the end of the day, they would shoot it.
Pendleton immediately began the 90-minute drive to Morrisonville, Illinois to save his life. When she arrived, she was handed the dog with no questions asked. Buck was a little on the thin side but otherwise seemed okay and just wanted lots of love.
Pendleton contacted local police but there's no information yet on whether charges will be filed.
Approximately four years old, this beautiful German Shepherd mix, now known as Buck, is getting the attention, pets, and love he deserves. But he still needs a permanent home because Pendleton can't keep him.
If you or someone you know can give Buck the good home he deserves, email Liz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
