Dogs often show us how loyal they can be. Nothing but loyalty was shown this week in France.
As reported this week on inquisitr.com, a 63 year old woman was in her garden shooting some test shots with her 22 caliber rifle. The woman finished shooting and turned the gun on herself and tried to pull the trigger.
Amazingly, her loyal German Shepherd could sense something not quite right. As the woman pulled the trigger to shoot herself in the chest, the dog jumped on her and diverted the shot.
Although the woman was still shot, the German Shepherd helped to divert the shot from hitting any of her vital organs.
The woman's husband found her in the garden, unconscious, and with a chest wound. She was taken by paramedics to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
This wasn't the first time this week that a dog has saved its owner.
A three year old girl wandered away from home in Poland during very cold temperatures. A local dog kept her warm and protected overnight. The little girl was found by rescuers the next day.
It seems that this is proof of a dog's true loyalty.
