Grab your dog and get in on some holiday cheer.  Get your dog’s picture with Santa at the Hotel Indigo San Diego, have a cocktail and have some fun.  You can even view it as getting some holiday shopping done.

City Dog hosts Cocktails and Canines at the Hotel Indigo on Tuesday nights 5:30-8:30 pm.

Tuesday, December 8th City Dog will be there with their very cool pet apparel and toys.  Photos with Santa will be taken in an adjacent suite with card packages and photos available for purchase.

Perfect shopping while having a holiday cocktail for any dog lover, and even better, your dog gets to go with you.

Should this be a new experience here are some dog training tips to make the outing one you want to repeat with your dog.

  • Get some good exercise before going.  A long walk, a jog, or a run are best to burn that extra edge off your dog.  It’s also a good thing for you and will help with those added holiday calories!
  • If your dog is known to have extra energy get some fast moving sprints going on top of the walk or run.  Throw a ball repeatedly, play a fun game of tug, or a quick game of find it.  All of these things use the energy that your dog has stored up and make an outing in a new environment much easier to manage.
  • Potty training or marking can be a problem as well.  A a good pre event outing can help.  House training can be the one factor that makes it difficult to include your dog in events like Canines and Cocktails.  For more information on dealing with this problem see us at www.GoTrainYourDog.

So get out and have some fun with your dog.
