Thousands of people and their pet dogs, including St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis, will walk the streets of St. Louis on February 12, 2012, as part of the Beggin' Pets Parade. Bring your kids down to the Soulard neighborhood for one of the funniest and most entertaining sights they'll ever see. Dogs will be dressed in costume as they start their march from the corner of Menard St. and Allen Ave.
The Beggin' Pets Parade is free to onlookers, but the registrations fees paid by pet owners in the parade will benefit the Open Door Animal Sanctuary. The Open Door Animal Sanctuary is a no-kill shelter that matches older pets with loving families who will care for them.
The parade begins at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12th. Come out to this family-friendly event and let your kids enjoy some laughter as they see the various costumes and antics of the dogs, while St. Louis tries to set a Guinness World Record for most dogs in costumed attire.
