On Tuesday, Feb. 11, KING 5 News reported that a dog is missing after a fatal car crash in Vancouver, Washington.

A Vancouver, Wash. veterinary clinic is hoping to locate the missing dog, a Yorkshire Terrier named Daisy. She little dog went missing last Thursday during a southwestern Washington car crash on Interstate 5 that killed her owner, Matthew Scott, 39, of Tualatin, Ore.

The missing dog is wearing a collar with tags.

The crash, which was brought on by a winter storm, involved 29 vehicles and seven other people were injured.

According to the newspaper the Columbian, the East Padden Animal Hospital posted a photo of the missing dog to their Facebook page.

Pets often ride in the car with their families and dogs have been lost before after being in car accidents. In January of 2013, a senior dog went missing from a car accident in Kirkland, Wash. Thanks to a collaborative search effort spearheaded by 3 Retrievers Lost Pet Rescue, the missing dog, named "Mandy," was found a short time later.
