Update 9/14/13: Blue has been rescued! The rescue agency, Hanging with Friends Animal Rescue has saved this dog from the shelter. The rescue wrote:
He has been to the vet already and he does have skin cancer and will go in for treatment in the am. He was dehydrated so to the vets wants me to work on that before his surgery tomorrow afternoon. Once we get him well enough he will be off to training to help with some of his other issues. All pledges can be sent via pay pal to email@example.com
Boy Blue, a pit bull, has had a more difficult life than most dogs. Back in 2009, Blue was shot in the leg after police entered his home to arrest his owners.
The gunshot wound resulted in the loss of Blue's front leg.
Thankfully, after the injured dog arrived to the animal shelter, funds were raised and Blue was able to be treated and saved. Things were looking bright for the new tripod...after recovering, he was adopted and left the facility to start a new life.
Fast forward to 2013...on August 27, Blue wound up behind bars once again, his life, for a second time, was turned upside down.
Blue's most recent incarceration is the result of his family's loss of their home.
Today, after living with a family for almost four years, seven-year-old Blue is in danger because the Redlands, Calif., animal control where he is located is full.
Please take a moment to network on Blue's behalf, before it is too late.
