A beautiful dog named "Julie," is in need of a new home after her former family decided to leave her at an animal control facility in Dekalb County, Georgia.
On Sunday, the Dekalb County Animal Services facility explained why Julie's family walked away from her:
Julie's previous owner decided not to reclaim her. They reclaimed their other dog because the other dog was "their dog," but Julie was their "children's dog" and the children had already replaced her even though Julie had only been lost a week. They also said they didn't want a citation for Julie running loose. So they decided to leave poor Julie at the shelter.
The facility went on to describe Julie's positive attributes and their hope for her to find a new guardian:
Julie deserves a family that truly cares about her. She is a great dog that is very loving, playful and sweet. She hopped around the yard today just happy to be outside. She fetched a stick a few times before she decided that it was time for belly rubs. Please come meet this awesome girl at the DeKalb Shelter, you will love her!
Julie had a family and they turned their back on her. Please take a moment to network Julie's information so that she can find a faithful family who would never consider walking away and leaving her in danger.
