For quite some time, a Facebook page called "Dogs Suck," was spewing violence and hatred towards canines.
The offensive page was reported by individuals who were appalled by the violent images and promotion of animal cruelty. Until yesterday, the reports were seemingly ignored by the powers that be at Facebook.
Finally, the page was removed (it is unclear whether it was by Facebook, or the admin of the page itself), only to be replaced by a new page, titled Dogs Suck 2.
The cover photo on the page says a lot about whoever is behind the distasteful site. A photo shows two dogs with guns pointed at their heads is the back drop for the cruel posts.
The about section of the page states:
dogs are gross, and if you live with one your house stinks like a barnyard. they eat shit, wont clean themselves but will lick their balls and assholes all day, and the ones who bark constantly need to be shot.
Many people who reported the first page to Facebook officials have stated that Facebook indicated the original page did not violate any terms. However, Facebook clearly states that hate speech and threats is a violation of their rules.
Logically speaking, hate speech and the encouragement of abusive, cruel acts towards canines falls under those guidelines for Facebook violations.

Dogs are subjected to far too much neglect and abuse in the "real world," the last thing needed is a person utilizing a platform like Facebook to spur further cruelty.
