Dog found duct taped and discarded on side of road in NY

Argyle, NY - On Friday morning, a 3-5 year old Husky was found lying on the side of Coach Road, by a Department of Transportation worker. He was left to die with his front and back legs duct taped together, and a serious neck wound consistent with being caused by an embedded collar.

Luckily he survived the 19-degree weather, after being left bound and helpless, and was brought to Queensbury SPCA. They have named him Argyle after the town where he was found.

He is currently at a local clinic getting surgery for his injuries, and will later be returned to the Queensbury SPCA.

The person responsible for this heinous act needs to be found and punished for their mistreatment of this dog, and for leaving him in freezing temperatures to die alone, cold, scared and helpless. This poor dog was unable to move or help himself in any way, and the person who is responsible for this abuse, if found, should be charged with animal cruelty.

The SPCA is seeking the public's help in finding this person. If you know or have any information that will help lead police to this individual, please contact the SPCA at (518) 798-3500.

No animal should ever be left to die like this, and hopefully Argyle will find a wonderful, loving forever home and be able to put his horrific ordeal behind him.

Thank you to the transportation worker who found and helped him.
