The fate of Bullet, a dog living in Snellville, Georgia, remains uncertain after a neighbor contacted police when the dog showed up at her house with his mouth taped shut, according to an article posted yesterday on WSBTV.com. Antonio Furlow is in custody on one count of animal cruelty in connection with the incident.

According to the WSBTV.com article:

"He had electrical tape wrapped around his muzzle to the point where he couldn't open his mouth," said Cpl. Jake Smith. "(He) presumably couldn't eat or drink."

Bullet was dehydrated and also was malnourished as a result. According to the report, neighbors were used to seeing Bullet tethered in the yard even in bad weather. Somehow Bullet managed to escape his tether and fled to the home of a nearby neighbor. The neighbor was shocked at the condition of the dog, and contacted authorities.

Bullet was taken to a local animal hospital for treatment.

The dog reportedly belongs to Furlow's roommate, who allegedly abandoned Bullet at the home.
