Dog food bags found on curb hold grim discovery

The bodies of three dogs were placed into dog food bags, then thrown out on the curb like trash.

WOIO 19actionnews.com reports that Rob Novak discovered the dogs yesterday near the intersection of E. 102 and Meech Avenue in Cleveland. Novak is an animal lover, so was shocked and heartbroken when he made the discovery. He immediately called police.

A playground is just down the street.

It is unknown at this time if the dogs were poisoned. A necropsy is scheduled to be performed today to determine their cause of death. When found, one of the dogs was still warm.

If you have any information on who is responsible for the death of the dogs, please call Cleveland Police at (216) 623-5400 or contact the Cuyahoga County Dog Warden at (216) 525-7877.
