We all suffer from boredom at times, even our pets. Motley Zoo Animal Rescue can help alleviate doggie boredom, and you can help support animals in need, at Motley Zoo’s Rock Star Treatment Dog Daycare and Training Studio in Redmond, WA.
Motley Zoo adds a rock 'n roll flair and style to animal rescue efforts, and their new dog daycare and training studio provides pet guardians with a rockin’ place to take their beloved canines. Proceeds will go directly to support their local, foster-based, 501c3 nonprofit rescue efforts.
Motley Zoo has long wanted a physical location, since day one in fact. However, they didn’t want it to be an animal shelter. They feel their animals are best cared for in actual loving homes…the homes of foster volunteers. In this type of environment, volunteers are able to get to know each pet in a home setting, which in turn helps make the best matches for their forever families.
Animals will still be housed in their extensive foster home system, and are available for adoption by approved application and appointment, or at adoption events hosted throughout the area. The exception to this would be adoptable cats housed on site in the free-roaming cat colony. Motley Zoo already partners with many pet stores, such as Petco, All the Best Pet Care, and Maser’s, to host their kitties. When these cats have left foster care and are ready for adoption, Motley Zoo’s Studio will be another venue for saving the lives of cats in need.
The other side of their new studio is the dog daycare and training services…basically a year-round fundraising gala. Rather than doing one big annual fundraiser, Motley Zoo decided it would better serve animals and people in the community by offering these services. Again, proceeds go directly to Motley Zoo to help their rescue program.
“This new service-based concept will not only allow us to continue to help serve pets and people more extensively, but will also help us bring in much needed revenue to our rescue program, so that it can expand and advance,” said jme Thomas, Motley Zoo’s volunteer Executive Director. “What makes this daycare different is that it’s not just about creating a fun place for dogs while families are working, it’s also giving back to the community by supporting our animal rescue, too.”
