The stray dog found in South Carolina with a photo tucked into his collar has found a new home.
Soldier, a two-year-old male pit bull, remained with Greenville County Animal Care Services while they attempted to locate the man in the photograph. After a month with no leads, the shelter put the dog up for adoption. Soldier received dozens of adoption inquiries. Julie Hensley was chosen as the right match for Soldier.
In the meantime, the mystery still remains why a tattered old black-and-white photo of a man was placed into Soldier’s collar, and who the man is. Greenville County Animal Care Services is holding onto the photo, and requests that anyone with information on the photo contact them.
