On Saturday, a dog in Oklahoma City returned home with a newborn in its mouth.
A house sitter explained to reporters that Luke, the dog, arrived with “the body of a three to five-pound infant in his mouth.”
She went on to say that Luke transported the baby girl “like a momma pup” and placed the infant at her feet.
The sitter emphasized that the baby had no “signs of trauma” and that Luke would never harm anyone.
She actually “believes the dog was trying to help the infant,” said the Huffington Post.
Authorities do not know where the baby came from, said Police Captain Dexter Nelson.
Medical examiners are now attempting to discover whether or not “the baby was born alive or stillborn.”
