Dog Bless rescue organization is looking for a spokesdog

A local rescue group has launched an online auction to find a spokesdog for 2013. Dog Bless rescue group in conjunction with the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association and local private citizens in need to place dogs (and a few cats) in foster homes. These animals are then adopted locally or arrangements are made with out-of-state rescue groups to take responsibility for finding them a forever home. Volunteers transport these dogs on a regular schedule, freeing up space in foster homes, in turn allowing for more animals to be pulled from the shelter, freeing up space at the shelter as well. Dog Bless also works with the national organization Pilots N Paws to get these dogs to a city where they can find a loving home.

This latest fundraiser is an ebay auction.

The winner will be the official "spokesdog" of Dog Bless for the 2013 rescue year. The winner be invited to attend all Dog Bless events as a local celebrity. The winning dog will receive a grooming session from At Your Bark and Call mobile pet groomer and a photography shoot with Fidos & Felines Photography Also included is a prize basket with treats, pet supplies, and toys.

The auction is online from February 1, 2013 to February 10, 2013. The bidding is already over $200.00. Funds from this auction will be used to further the efforts of Dog Bless to save lives through foster, rescue transport, and medical assisstance to needy animals.
