UPDATED FEBURARY 9, 2014: RETRACTION-According to Prince William authorities, Devon was never in danger of being euthanized. Please see new article here.

This article is a plea for help to save a dog from being euthanized, Todd Williams posted on Facebook February 7. A temporary home is all that's needed to save this dog, who has once again found himself in a bad situation.

Devon is in the Prince William County Animal Shelter, located in Manassas, Virginia. How he ended up there is a crazy turn of events, leaving the man who saved him before to come to his rescue again.

That man is Todd Williams, whose photography and love of dogs is legend in upstate South Carolina. Todd is the face behind many rescues in his community, and he's determined to save Devon-again.

Todd has spoken with the shelter, and was told Sunday, Feburary 9, is his deadline. Devon is at risk of being euthanized, even with the guarantee of being rescued on February 11, which is the earliest Todd can drive from Greenville, South Carolina to Manassas.

This is a guaranteed short-term foster situation. Todd has been in contact with a transporter and is paying for the transport himself. At the moment, a go-between is needed to get Devon out of the shelter. Anyone who can help is asked to contact Todd at scgreyguy@gmail.com, or on his Facebook page above.

Please share this article with friends in the Manassas, Virginia area. Devon has help coming. Don't let him down when rescue is so close at hand.
