Does your yoga, meditation and spiritual life give you more energy or less?

Successful spiritual practices such as yoga and meditation can take a considerable amount of dedication. What feels natural one day, may feel like a strain the next; giving up is not an option though if you want to triumph over your chaotic mind, busy life full to the brim with engrossing activities, or mere boredom.

Does dedication to your spiritual practice equate to a triumphant effort that leaves you exhausted--in order to prove to yourself that you gave it your all? No.

Your yoga and meditation routine should leave you with more physical energy, mental clarity, hopefulness and confidence...

If you feel drained, you may be dishonoring yourself and your full potential under the guise of giving it your best and going until you drop.

When the ego takes over--when you no longer listen to your body's innate ability to monitor your vitality--it is understandable to become goal-oriented and drop all other qualities of health.

Rise above and see your own life from your own bird's eye view, beyond the idea of pushing past your edges. Above the canopy, see what you need to do to be a better you.

in all the ways i know

to explain what it meant

to watch my feelings

trickle down my logic...

i can only explain

the blank screen

and feelings of you

still in the air...
