Does the Rainbow Bridge exist? NDE infamous, Dr. Melvin Morse and Chris (Part 5)

The same type of NDE was experienced by a patient of the infamous Dr. Melvin Morse (who was once at the pinnacle of his research in near death experiences – until later in life, when he took his research to extremes and was imprisoned.) However, that being said and before his research became extreme, in his 1994 book, Parting Visions, a beautiful near-death experience is told of a boy Dr. Morse interviewed, named Chris.

"The boy, Chris was underwater and not breathing for almost 15 minutes after his father lost control of their car and it went into a river near Seattle, Washington. At this time, Dr. Morse was working as a pediatrician at the same hospital as Chris arrived. Chris was brought to the hospital after a man who'd witnessed the accident made repeated dives to the submerged car and was finally able to pull Chris from the backseat. Chris was only four when this accident happened.

"Chris's mother managed to kick out the passenger side window, swim to the surface, and save her other child, Chris's six-year-old brother, before he floated away downstream. Unfortunately, Chris's father, the last pulled from the car, died. Speaking to Chris four years after the accident, this is what he told Dr. Morse:

(Chris) 'When I died, I went into a huge noodle. It wasn't like a spiral noodle, but it was very straight, like a tunnel. When I told my mom about nearly dying, I told her it was a noodle, but now I am thinking it must have been a tunnel, because it had a rainbow in it and I don't think a noodle has a rainbow.

'I was being pushed along by a wind, and I could kind of float. I saw two small tunnels in front of me. One of them was animal heaven, and the other one was the human heaven. First, I went into the animal heaven. There were lots of flowers and there was a bee. The bee was talking to me and we were both smelling flowers. The bee was very nice and brought me bread and honey because I was really hungry.

'Then. I went to human heaven. I saw my grandmother [Dr. Morse notes here that Chris's grandmother had died years earlier]. Then I saw heaven. Human heaven was beautiful. It was like a castle, but not one of those grungy old places. This was not a golden castle; it was just a regular old castle. As I looked at heaven, I heard music. The music was very loud and it stuck in my head. I started looking around at it, and then all of a sudden I was in the hospital. Just like that I woke up, and there were nurses standing around me. It was just that easy."

This seems to correspond very closely with the Rainbow Bridge story, with our pets waiting with other pets until we're reunited with them. Remember, Chris talked about seeing a rainbow in that tunnel he traveled through. Was this the "Rainbow Bridge?"

Chris’ story about going to "animal heaven" first, fits with other stories I've read elsewhere about children who've experienced NDEs, or children's spirits who contact their parents, sometimes talk about meeting animals first, or going through "animal heaven" before reaching "human heaven."
