Does TAG need key speakers?

See also

Theoretical Archaeological Group (TAG) supposes to be a forum of scientists-archaeologists who go there in an equal context to represent their scientific significant results as researchers or artists (art work is a result of the highest level of creative thinking which is above science, then, it is included in science although as higher quality if it is a quality art). It should provide equal opportunities to everybody. The science is science since does not depend on age, status and gender. Most importantly - TAG is the only place of real science in archaeology without being mixed by the so-called non-for-profit members which substitute very often science with pseudoscience and keep even professor chairs (and get even millions in grants) because of the absence of criteria for science in many professional non-for-profit organizations including in the field of archaeology.

Why should some archaeologists use TAG as high status scientific forum to make false values by key speakers? Since we live on the Earth and not on the Moon just seeing the names it will be easy to guess that the key speakers are not the best but either with connections starting the intrigues with themselves (I want to be a key speaker and will make somebody make me a key speaker) or because of personal interest an organizer will use the power to invite somebody who will benefit him/her personally). Tax payer money has been used in such games, as well as the money of the TAG participants who pay to go but which money may go to key speakers who certain scientists even do not think have the moral to be absolutely on the academic stage. There are non-for-profit organizations with membership and even they gradually stop empowering individuals with community money. If somebody believes that did really a revolutionary scientific discovery that has to be heard by vast audience for opinion, he/she may ask for a session where everybody can go and listen.

Key speakers do not create fruitful continuity since the last thing that archaeology needs today is continuity. Archaeology needs to break with all corrupted past and Cold War embedded pseudoscientists who are so active today trying to occupy power to keep their position that it is mandatory for all organizers of all archaeological meetings to make such frames which will be filters of reproduction of any Cold War corruption.

Instead key speakers, much more beneficial for archaeologists would be Grant Opening with Art Exhibit and general talk. Buffalo TAG 2012 has made a fruitful innovation – all presidents of American non-for-profit organizations were invited and it was really a great introductory. An author of most popular book also can be motivating for the serious scientists.

Science is a virgin soil and requires virgin context of equally placed on the forum stage scientists who will communicate great scientific discoveries. TAG is presumably the forum that makes the first step in this most difficult but ONLY wanted road of science by taxpayers and the non-corrupted world.
