Does Obama think all black people hang out in beauty parlors and barber shops?

At the beginning of February, the Obama campaign released a video announcing the formation of “African-Americans for Obama.”

The video is narrated by President Obama and shows several images of black Americans carrying signs, volunteering and going about their daily activities.

At one point, Obama speaks of the importance of “folks at every level taking ownership where it matters most…around the kitchen table, in barber shops and beauty parlors.”

While the president’s words may seem innocuous, it is not the first time Obama has referred to black people often finding themselves in barber shops and beauty parlors.

In September 2010, President Obama spoke at the annual Congressional Black Caucus dinner, warning the partisan crowd of the soon-to-be Republican landslide. It was a rambling, 27-minute speech which promoted class warfare and demonized millionaires (even though he is one), but never once touched upon his administration’s own failings amid crushing unemployment.

Explaining how badly the Democrats need black voters to get to the polls, Obama said: “I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, to go back to your workplaces, to go to the churches, and go to the barber shops and go to the beauty shops. And tell them we’ve got more work to do…Tell them we can’t wait to organize. Tell them that the time for action is now.”

Does Obama derive all of his knowledge of African-American culture by watching Tyler Perry movies?

As someone who actually knows a few black people, I can tell Mr. Obama that many of them also frequent golf courses, libraries, coffee shops, upscale restaurants and other places I am certain this man from Harvard would not expect to see them.

Obama’s insulting words are emblematic of just where the Democratic Party wants to see black people—in their own neighborhoods, isolated from the truth that in reality…white Republicans  do not really want to see them dead!
