In 2007, Nicholas Kristoff of the New York Times wrote that Barack Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated, he claimed that Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.” He could have said the sound of his children’s laughter, birds chirping or even the song, "America the Beautiful”. However, Obama chose the sunset Islamic prayers . I don’t know about you, but that wouldn’t be any where near my top 1,000.
Whether Obama is still a practicing Muslim, with an allegiance to Islam over America, is the big elephant in the living room that everyone is avoiding.
The Islamic sunset prayers indicate a commitment to Allah, the one true God. So it’s not unreasonable to wonder where his commitment lies. Maghrib prayer is said just after the sun goes down, and it is a reminder of the greatness of Allah and obedience to Allah. The prayer indicates that all praises belong to Allah the Cherisher, the Sustainer, Developer and Perfector of the worlds, the most Compassionate.
Obama is the son of a Muslim, Barack Obama, and the adopted son of a Muslim, Lolo Soetoro. President Obama attended classes on Islam in Jakarta while the Christians attended classes on Christianity, according to an Australian news report. He grew up in Indonesia attending Muslim schools, and there’s no evidence that he ever renounced Islam.
He joined Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s church in Chicago and calls Wright a great mentor and friend. However, Reverend Wright was asked by author Ed Klein if he converted Obama from Islam to Christianity, and Wright said ‘well, I don’t know if I could go that far but… I made it comfortable for him to accept Christianity without having to renounce his Islamic background.’ To me that clearly states that Obama is still practicing Islam.
Why does it matter is Obama is a Muslim? Because the radical Muslims are our enemies, sworn to destroy us.
Representative Dana Rohrbacher, of California, believes this administration has been trying to downplay the threat of radical Islam for the last few years. “The president can’t even get those words out of his mouth, ‘radical Islamic terrorists,’” said Rohrabacher.
Obama has been generous with taxpayer dollars in terms of giving $1.5 billion to the radical organization, the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent company of AlQaeda, Hamas and other groups that are enemies of the United States. It may explain helping to send arms to Syrian rebels, largely AlQaeda as well as the most recent gift of sixteen F-22 fighter jets and 200 Abram tanks to the Muslim Brotherhood.
And then, there’s Benghazi. From Panetta’s testimony, Obama was briefed about the attacks but absent from any part of a solution which resulted in the deaths of Americans, not of the Islamists.
It's time to talk about the elephant in the living room.
