Stacey Lauretta Dash exploded onto the movie scene in 1995 when she starred as Dionne Marie in the popular film Clueless. Up until that point she had several respectable television appearances and some noticeable roles in movies such as Moving, Mo' Money, and Renaissance Man. However, it was her role in Clueless that launched her into mainstream movie stardom and put her in a position to become one of the most successful and beautiful actresses at that time. Clueless was such a success that it birthed a television spin-off (also called Clueless) which ran for approximately three years.
Then something really strange happened.
Stacey Dash, the green-eyed sexy beauty of Clueless stardom, gradually began to accept small movie roles and act out forgettable television characters. Within five years after her Clueless fame, she slowly transformed into a video vixen, eagerly lending her acting skills to rappers and R&B stars while appearing in videos such as "Emotional" and "All Falls Down."
The pinnacle of Stacey Dash's transformation came in August 2006 when she bared it all for Playboy magazine. Two years later, at the age of 42, a curvy Dash appeared on the cover of King Magazine alongside the degrading heading which read: "We've Got MILF! Stacey Dash".

After a few more tired television series and movie roles, Stacey Dash appeared in 2010 to guest star in Rick Ross' music video for his hit single "Super High." Yes, it was a good and entertaining video. The beautiful Stacey Dash joined burly rapper Rick Ross and singer Ne-Yo on a wild Harley Davidson-themed adventure that somehow played into the whole "Super High" theme.
And honestly, at age 44, Stacey Dash looks absolutely remarkable. She has the beautiful hair going, the gorgeous physique, and the sparkling green eyes. The reality is that Rick Ross was very fortunate to even land such a popular actress-turned-video vixen in one of his videos.
But soon after you digest all of the good things about Stacey Dash in the video, then you are left with the not-so-good things...the fishnet stockings straight out of 1980's porn...the awkward butt shaking...the realization that videos like these may be her only acting roles from here on out.
Anyone who remembers the beautiful and talented Stacey Dash from the 1990's hopes that this is not how it ends. After every butt-shaking and motorcyle-straddling clip, we hope that maybe Stacey Dash will surprise us and get back into serious acting.
Not reality TV.
Not straight-to-DVD films.
Not some corny mini-series.
Maybe, just maybe, Stacey Dash will land a big-time role in a major film to rescue her from her dreadful video-vixen status.
What film director wouldn't want to employ the talents of a beautiful, shapely, experienced actress?
If there isn't a place somewhere for Stacey Dash in the major movie business, then I guess I'm just "Clueless" too...

My thoughts exactly! Clueless was one of my fav movies. I even bought the books (yes there were books)! Dionne was such a fly girl to me and it made me look at Stacey as a positive role model for young black girls, but like you said she suddenly feel off. I didn't mind seeing her in All Falls Down becasue the video was ahead of the curve and the song had substance that many women could relate to. She's beautiful at 40+, but the thing that pushed me over the edge as far as questioning her career was the King magazine backshot and the cameo in the Rick Ross video. #WDDDA?

Interesting take on Stacey, but the Kingplotation list grows daily - Jennifer Freeman, Elise Neal, Lauren London - why. I would answer, "no!" there must not be enough roles in Hollywood because we see the same people playing the same tired characters over and over again, and beautiful actresses are relegated to a men's magazine which was designed more for adolescent boys than real men.
