Suppose there were a means to remove the majority of pollutants from coal before it was burned to make electricity? The process could remove or reduce major pollutants like SO2, NOx, mercury, arsenic, selenium, chlorine and many other metals in coal. The process raises the BTU value of all coals. That means less coal is needed to maintain maximum megawatt output. Less coal burned means less CO2 to capture. What if the process also saved power generators extreme amounts of money in the form of compliance costs, ash handling fees as well as fuel purchasing costs? What if a proven process existed that not only reduced toxic emissions from coal fired electric plants but also guaranteed the power plants cost savings by realizing Section 45 tax Credits?
The Obama administration and the Department of Energy would jump on a chance to fund such advanced green technology that saves both the electric company and the consumer money.
Think again.
CBA/US Enviro Pur, an innovator since 1993 has had such a process available for the last two years. The company is located in Hegins, Pennsylvania.
Imagine if you will that there is this company that has developed these technologies to the point of "Commercial Scale Ready" for implementation; and that this company has spent all of its own financial resources to develop, test and qualify these technologies which provide a Cleaner Coal and convert Waste to Energy located at quite possibly the United States first "real" Cleaner Coal and W2E demonstration facility; and this company has traveled to Washington, Scranton and Harrisburg begging for assistance from all of the Company's political representatives; and this company takes its own initiative to contact the Department of Energy, and after 3 months they respond and tell the company: This is exactly what the US needs now because it is a "Here and Now" solution to greatly reduce the pollutants produced from coal fired power plants; and the US Government recently releases documentation (attached) from the DOE stating that the Secretary of DOE is angry because his own agency is not releasing Recovery funds which total $39 Billion (just for Clean Coal) to companies that have developed these solutions and technology; and imagine that if this company could secure Government assistance (as it is specifically set aside for), the company could implement these technologies across the 600 plus coal fired power plants and the 16,000 plus municipal wastewater plants creating or retaining over 250,000 jobs contributing to a cleaner environment by reducing mercury, arsenic, sulfur, selenium and chlorine in the air, water and soil while preserving our energy independence.
Imagine if no one was listening or cared or just forgot. Does anyone care?
Care enough to write your congressman and Senator and demand funding for a proven process that will create job, clean up the environment, and save everyone concerned money.
Write them NOW.
