Chrysler Group LLC is recalling certain model year 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan and Chrysler town & Country vehicles manufacturer from August 3rd, 2009, through June 17th, 2010, including card made in Canada. Some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacement from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to shut off. Engine shut off while driving could increase the risk of a crash.

The recall was reorted on March 1st, 2011, on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) internet portal. About 3 percent of the 248.437 recalled vehicles are likely to be affected.

Dealers will replace the win modules free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin during April 2011. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.
