Dodge has announced the arrival of its 2013 Mopar Dart. Dodge will make a limited run of only 500 units. Its official introduction will take place at the 2013 Chicago auto show.
According to Chrysler, the Mopar Dart was inspired mainly by the tuner scene, and the aftermarket mopar accessories added on reflect a lot of the first few bolt ons and upgrades that a typical sport compact owner would do. Exclusive Mopar accessories include,
- lowered sport suspension
- revised steering calibration
- sport-tuned exhaust
- ground-effects kit
- and premium brake kit with slotted rotors
In addition, all Mopar Darts will be finished in exclusive gloss black color with blue stripe going down the length of the car. Outside you’ll also find an exclusive Mopar badge on the grille and centercaps as well as 18 inch Mopar rims on all four corners. Inside the leather steering wheel and shifter have been accented with blue stitching, pedal sport kits, premium mopar car floor mats and exclusive 8.4 inch navigation screen.
Why blue? Specifically why Mopar Blue? This shade of blue has always been the go to color for Mopar in general. In 1972, Mopar changed there logo to include the Mopar name in that charecteristic blue in response to its popularity and its stuck as there defacto performance color since.
