Digital Spy just uploaded a new Doctor Who interview. This one is 'Suranne Jones' who will be playing Idris in the upcoming episode ‘The Doctor’s Wife' airing on 'BBC America'.
This is not her first foray into the Doctor Who universe. She has been on Sarah Jane Adventures during the David Tennant years. The interviewer of course asks her about her relationship with the Doctor in the upcoming episode, but she does not give anything away which is how it should be.
In a new article on this very thing, Steven Moffat the executive producer of Doctor Who is upset at all the fans who keep giving away plot lines of the story arc. From what Suranne says in her clip, this is an obvious no-no to say the least. Even in episodes with River Song, her favorite tag line is no spoilers.
For what it’s worth, this new episode ‘The Doctor’s Wife’ written by Neil Gaiman looks like fun and for a true a fan it is ok to wait. Isn’t that what makes the show that more exciting? So enjoy the new interview clip, but leave the spoilers to River.
‘The Doctor’s Wife’ will air on May 14th.
Doctor Who airs on BBC America on Saturdays at 9e/p
