'Doctor Who': Check out a new photo of the Doctor and his new companion Clara

"Doctor Who" is back soon, and as part of the promotion for its "Supernatural Saturday," on Thursday, Feb. 28, BBC America released a new photo showing Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman and more information about what to expect in the rest of season 7.

The beginning of "Doctor Who" season 7 saw the Doctor say goodbye to Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) and then teased Coleman as Clara in the Christmas Special. The new episodes will begin by introducing a new enemy in the Spoonheads in "The Bells of St. John," which will be set in London and feature iconic landmarks—The Shard and Westminster Bridge—when the Doctor "discovers something sinister is lurking in the Wi-Fi." Also coming up in the rest of this season are more Cybermen in "a thunderous return" and the Ice Warrior showing up "in an unexpected place."

The show's executive producer and lead writer, Steven Moffat, has teased, "It's the 50th year of "Doctor Who" and look what's going on! We're up in the sky and under the sea! We're running round the rings of an alien world and then a haunted house. There's new Cybermen, new Ice Warriors and a never before attempted journey to the centre of the TARDIS. And in the finale, the Doctor's greatest secret will at last be revealed! If this wasn't already our most exciting year it would be anyway!"

So check out the photo, which you can see at the top of this article, and make sure you look at the shards around the Doctor and Clara. Plus, check out the trailer, which you can watch here, for a tease of what to expect in their upcoming adventures.

"Doctor Who" premieres on BBC America on March 30 at 8 p.m. Will you be tuning in to the new season?
